Man arrested for plotting to run over wife with car
Kashipur. Kunda police have arrested three people, including the husband, who conspired to kill his wife. He was given Rs 5 lakh to get his wife removed from the road.
Ssp Udham Singh Nagar Dr Manjunath TC said that on March 5, Salwinder Singh son Chandan Singh resident of village Patrampur Jaspur lodged a complaint that his daughter Kulwinder Kaur was coming back home from Kashipur women’s helpline. On the way, at around 2 pm, the driver of a white Scorpio car in front of the police post Shivrajpur Patti hit his daughter from behind with the intention of killing her. His daughter was seriously injured. She suspects that her daughter’s husband Jaspal Singh has tried to kill her.
On the basis of the complaint of Salwinder Singh, a case was registered on March 5 against Jaspal Singh son Jeet Singh resident of village Patrampur and the driver at police station Kunda. As per the orders of ssp and under the direction of SP Abhay Singh and CO Vandana Verma, separate police teams were formed to see the CCTV footage, find out the veracity of the incident through surveillance and arrest the accused under the leadership of in-charge inspector Kunda Dinesh Fatral.
Cctv cameras were checked by the police teams and the details of the said vehicle car were taken when it was found correct for the vehicle to commit the above incident. The accused have been identified as Jaspal Singh, son of Jeet Singh, a resident of Patrampur village, a resident of Jaspur village, his accomplice Khem Singh, a resident of Udaipur police station, District Bijnor, and the third accomplice Mahipal Singh, son of Omkar, a resident of Laxmi Nagar police station, Jaspur. The court sent him to jail in police custody.
