Section 144 implemented in Purola, tension created after a minor girl was driven away by a youth of a particular community

Administration did not give permission to Mahapanchayat of Hindu organizations called in Purola

Uttarkashi. Section 144 has been imposed in view of the tension in Purola. Tension has built up after an attempt to abduct a minor girl on May 26 last month. There is an allegation of abducting a teenager on behalf of a youth of a particular community. The district administration has also denied permission to hold a mahapanchayat in Purola. At the same time, in panic, the families of a particular community are leaving Puraula.
Uttarkashi District Magistrate Abhishek Rohilla said that Section 144 CrPC has been imposed in Purola. Section 144 prohibits the assembly of four or more people in an area.
DGP Ashok Kumar said on Wednesday that no one would be allowed to disturb the law and order in the state. The district police and administration is fully prepared. We are taking all steps to maintain law and order in the state, no one will be allowed to break the law. Action will be taken against those who try to break the law.
Let us tell you that on May 26 last month in Uttarkashi city, two people, including a youth from the minority community, have been accused of attempting to kidnap a 14-year-old girl. Tension has been observed since then. Both the people were arrested
