Panic in health department due to video going viral on social media, investigation conducted
Rudrapur. A case of violating sentiments has come to light in the post-mortem house. The family members, who were in the grief of losing their loved one, were asked for money in lieu of post-mortem of the dead body. The family members gave money for the post-mortem and also made a video. There was a stir in the health department after the video went viral on social media. Taking cognizance of the video, the CMO has instituted an investigation.
On Monday, a video of a PRD worker posted in the mortuary was going viral on social media. In which the accused PRD employee is demanding money from the relatives of the deceased while talking about planting the goods etc. In the video, the accused PRD employee is also having an argument with his family members. After this, the family members gave him money and left for the destination with the body in an ambulance. However, how old this video is is a matter of investigation. There was panic in the health department after the video of a PRD employee demanding money for post-mortem went viral.
CMO Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma instructed the PMS of the district hospital, Dr. RK Sinha, to complete the investigation and submit the report within three days. The CMO said that no fee is charged for post-mortem. PRD personnel is seen in the video demanding money. An investigation has been set up to find out the authenticity of the video. Action will be implemented after investigation.
