Dehradun: The continuous rain in Uttarakhand for the last two days has disrupted life. Due to this rain, a huge drop in temperature has been recorded in the state. In Dehradun, the temperature dropped by 6 degrees Celsius on Saturday and cold prevailed throughout the day. However, the night temperature was 5 degrees above normal.
Effect of rain:
- The rain that started late Friday night continued till Saturday evening.
- In the last 24 hours, 10.2 mm of rain was recorded in Dehradun.
- New Tehri recorded the highest rainfall of 23.2 mm.
- The maximum temperature of the day dropped 9 degrees below normal to 6.3 degrees Celsius.
Highest rainfall in Koti of Tehri:
- Koti in Tehri district received 83 mm of rain.
- Dhanolti recorded 41 mm of rain, Raiwala 18.5 mm, Narendra Nagar 17 mm, Rishikesh 15.5 mm, Mukteshwar 14.5 mm and Nainital 12 mm of rain.
Weather forecast:
- According to the Meteorological Center, the weather will remain clear for the next three days from today (Sunday).
- There is a possibility of light rain in some areas of Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on December 29.
