Special train will run between Barmer-Haridwar on 26-27 November for Kartik Purnima bath.

DRM reached Rishikesh for inspection via Haridwar

Haridwar. For the Kartik Purnima bath, the railway administration will operate a special train between Barmer and Haridwar. It will leave from Barmer at 5 am on Sunday 26th November and reach Haridwar Railway Station at 3 am the next day on 27th November.
It will depart from Haridwar at 7.30 pm and reach Barmer the next day on 28th November at 5.40 pm. Senior DCM Sudhar Kumar Singh said that starting from Haridwar, this train will stop at stations like Delhi, Rewari, Mahendragarh, Churu, Ratangarh, Jodhpur, Balotra etc. This train of 18 coaches will have 12 sleeper class, four general and two SLR coaches.
Divisional Railway Manager Moradabad Raj Kumar Singh inspected Rishikesh railway station on Friday. In this sequence, at four in the evening, the DRM inspection car stopped for some time at Haridwar railway station. Where some railway officials boarded the inspection car. After inspection of Rishikesh station, the DRM inspection car passed from Haridwar to Moradabad at 7.45 pm.
The proposed rail under bridge in Luxor has remained entangled between promises, announcements and claims. The railway crossing on the Haridwar-Purkaji Highway was closed after the construction of the flyover in the year 2010. Since then till now there is a demand for an under bridge here. But, both the local administration and the railway department are not serious about this. Due to which, in the past years, many people have lost their lives after being hit by trains while crossing the railway line.
