Redevelopment work to be done at these stations under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme at a cost of Rs 83.6 crore
Haldwani. The face of Harrawala, Roorkee and Lalkuan railway stations of Uttarakhand will soon change. On Sunday, PM Narendra Modi launched the redevelopment works worth Rs 83.6 crore at these stations under the Virtual Amrit Bharat Station scheme.
PM Modi launched the redevelopment works to be done at 508 stations across the country. In this, 30.7 crore works will be done at Harrawala station in Uttarakhand, 29.1 crore works at Roorkee station and 23.8 crore works at Lalkuan station. For passengers to move from one platform to another at Harrawala station, where lifts and escalators will be installed. Along with this, water cooler, signage, dustbin, platform shelter, seating arrangement for passengers, executive lounge, air conditioned waiting area, waiting room will be made. The building of the station will also be seen in a new form. Similarly, passenger facilities will be expanded at Roorkee and Lalkuan railway stations. Airport-like facilities will be provided to the passengers at the stations.
