Devotees throng devotees to pay obeisance to Goddess Durga during Navratri

Haridwar. The Siddhpeeth Maa Dakshin Kali Temple in Haridwar dates back to ancient times. The bench was established in Vikram Samvat 351. Here the demand is fulfilled with a true heart. Worshiping here during Navratras has its own importance. The special thing is that in the Siddhpeeth Maa Dakshin Kali temple, Mai’s face is not towards the south but towards the east. But the Ganga flows towards the south here. Therefore, this bench is called South Black Back. 
Coconut, rose flowers, black berries, sweet betel leaf are offered in the temple on Saturdays. There is a huge crowd of devotees in the temple. It is believed that the chair was established in Vikram Samvat 351. Here the demand is fulfilled with a true heart. Special prayers are performed here during Navratras. Mai loves night worship. On Saturday, Mai voluntarily eats khichdi. 
It is believed that Kaal Bhairav himself protects this black back. Guru Kamaraj, a devotee of Kali and Shiva, installed the idol of maa here.  It is said that a ritual took place in 1962 to stop China’s siege fire to protect India. Then Rashtriya Swami Datia ji stayed on this bench for three days. Dakshin Kali Peethadheeshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri explains, “By worshiping Adi Shakti, the world gets strength. The worship of all the nine forms of Shakti in Navratri makes a person’s inner power upward. The wishes of the devotees are fulfilled by worshiping the mother with a true heart.
