Meeting postponed on Saturday, State Congress President, who left for Delhi, returned to Dehradun
Dehradun. The meeting of the screening committee of Congress regarding the selection of candidates for the five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand will now be held in New Delhi on March 5 instead of Saturday. State Congress President Karan Mahara, who had left for Delhi, returned to Dehradun midway after getting information about postponement of the screening committee meeting.
The meeting of the State Screening Committee constituted under the chairmanship of senior Congress leader Bhakta Charan Das was also held in New Delhi last day. The next meeting was to be held on Saturday. State Congress President Karan Mahara left for Delhi from Dehradun on Friday to attend this meeting, but he had to return from Meerut. State Congress Vice President Organization and Administration Mathuradutt Joshi said that the meeting of the screening committee will now be held in Delhi on March 5. . State Congress President Mahara and Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya will attend the meeting.
