The national highway between Bhawali and Almora will remain closed for five hours daily from today till October 31.

Nainital. The National Highway between Bhawali and Almora will remain closed for five hours daily (at an interval of one hour) from October 16 (today) to October 31. Due to hill cutting work near Frog Point of the highway, passengers will have to face problems from 8 in the morning to 5 in the evening. However, keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, NH officials have decided to keep the highway closed for one hour and open for one hour in a total interval of ten hours.
The highway between Bhawali-Almora was badly damaged in the disaster that occurred two years ago, but due to lack of budget, the highway could not be repaired and the pedestrians were facing a lot of problems. According to NH Assistant Engineer Ramesh Chandra Pandey, the sensitive thuja hill near the Garampani suspension bridge is being widened by cutting it. The highway between Bhawali-Almora will be affected from 8 am to 5 pm from 16 to 31 October. To avoid inconvenience, he has advised the passengers going from Haldwani to Almora, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh to go from Bhawali towards Almora via Ramgarh.
