The next hearing in the NH-74 scam will be held on March 1

Nainital. The Uttarakhand High Court, while hearing the case of 10 accused in the infamous NH-74 scam, has asked the ED to file objections to their petitions within a week. After hearing the matter, the single bench of Justice Ravindra Maithani listed the matter for further hearing on March 1.
According to the case, D.P. Singh, Arpan Kumar, Sanjay Kumar Chauhan, Vikas Kumar, Bole Lal, Bhagat Singh Phonia, Madan Mohan Paldia, Barinder Singh, Balwant Singh, Ramesh Kumar and Om Prakash have filed separate petitions challenging the trial court’s April 28, 2022 order. In which The Enforcement Department (ED) They were asked to register separate cases against them. After which different cases were filed against them. The petitions said that this order is wrong. The first case cannot be withdrawn. There are different complaints registered against the accused in the scam, one against someone, two or three complaints against someone. There are seven complaints registered against D.P. Singh. If they give a request letter not to appear in one case, then they will have to give an application in the other six cases as well, if they do not give, then anything can be ordered against them. Therefore, this order should be revoked. In the NH-74 scam, the SIT had confirmed the Rs 2011 crore scam in 2017. Which included many officers, employees and farmers. Those who did this work by showing the cultivable land of the farmers as non-agricultural. On March 1, 2017, the then commissioner Senthil Pandian had raised fears of a scam. District Magistrate Udham Singh Nagar has ordered an inquiry. If the investigation is found to be correct, the then ADM was arrested. Pratap Sah filed a case at Sidkul police station in Pantnagar. Apart from these, the names of many people came up who were sent to jail. Two IAS officers were also suspended. At present, the accused in the NH-74 scam are out on bail.
