SDRF launched a search operation, the guide could not be found
Rishikesh. On February 19, SDRF received information that a youth had drowned in a river near Vashisht cave in Shivpuri, Rishikesh. On information, SDRF team along with HC Manish Rautela from Post Byasi immediately rushed to the spot with rescue equipment.
On reaching the spot, the SDRF team learned that the drowning youth Ishaan, 23 years, resident – Lucknow, who works as a guide here and Bhandari Swiss Cottage Yog Vidya Mandir Tapovan had come to Vashisht cave along with the tourist. While bathing in the river Ganges near the Vashishtha cave, due to imbalance, he went missing due to the strong current of the river.
Intensive searching is being done by the SDRF team at all possible places at the spot and for effective search, the deep diving team from SDRF post Dhalwala has also reached the spot
