Last night, a vehicle going from Bageshwar towards Dehradun lost control and fell into a deep gorge near Gholtir, 18 km before Rudraprayag on Badrinath Highway.
District Disaster Management Officer NS Rajwar said that a vehicle (Boloro Camper) number UK02 CA 0826 has met with an accident between NH 58 place Gholtir-Shivanandi. As soon as the information was received, District Emergency Operation Center dispatched DDRF team, SDRF team and 108 ambulances to the spot.
Rescue teams informed that there were two persons traveling in the vehicle who died on the spot.
