Two women constables killed in road accident

The accident took place when she was returning from a scooty after being hit by a tractor-trolley loaded with sugarcane.

Moradabad. Two women constables posted at Sonakpur police station died in a road accident. After the post-mortem of the bodies, DIG Shalabh Mathur and SSP Hemraj Meena saluted both the bodies in a sombre atmosphere in the Police Line premises.
According to Sonakpur police station in-charge Tejveer Singh, the duty of women constables Meenu and Savita was in Bilari police station area on Sunday. After duty, the two women constables were returning to Sonakpur police station on a scooty. Two women constables were killed after being hit by a tractor-trolley loaded with sugarcane around Sunday night. The bodies of the two were found lying on the Bilari-Sonakpur road around 12 o’clock on Sunday night. As soon as the information about the road accident was received, the police station Sonakpur in-charge reached the spot. Both the women soldiers died on the spot and filled the panchnama of their body and sent it for post-mortem at night.
Both the deceased women constables were recruited on June 2, 2021 and joined duty at Police Station Sonakpur on January 10, 2022. One deceased, Meenu, daughter of Gurdas, resident of village Karimnagar Banboi police station Gulawati Bulandshahr and the other deceased Savita daughter Arjun Singh was a resident of village Nayasar police station Arnia district Bulandshahr. There was an atmosphere of mourning in Sonakpur police station on the news of the death of two women constables in a road accident. A case has been registered against the tractor driver at Sonakpur police station.
