UKSSSC will implement two-tier examination pattern of examinations from April.

The Commission had prepared this pattern in the year 2022, two-tier examination will be implemented to maintain purity in the examinations.
Dehradun.
Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) is preparing to introduce a two-tier examination pattern to maintain integrity in the examinations. If everything goes well, this pattern will be implemented from April. Till now the Commission conducts only written examination through offline medium. After this the successful candidates are called for record verification.
If the two-tier examination pattern is implemented, the Commission will conduct two examinations for the candidates. Candidates who pass the preliminary examination will be able to appear in the second main examination. The Commission can conduct one examination in online mode and the other in offline mode. At present, this proposal of the Commission is under consideration at the government level for the last two years and it can get the green signal any time. Keeping this in view, the Commission has started preparations in this regard.
When cases like cheating and paper leaks started coming to light one after another in the UKSSSC examinations from 2018 to 2022, the pressure on the Commission to maintain the sanctity of the examinations increased. Under the chairmanship of the then Chairman of the Commission S. Raju and the then Secretary Santosh Badoni, the Commission prepared the guidelines for a strict anti-copying law and sent it to the government.
The government made partial amendments on the draft and got it passed in the Assembly and later after getting the green signal from the Raj Bhavan, it became an anti-copying law. Along with this, the Commission also sent another proposal of two-tier examination pattern to the government in August 2022.
The intention of the Commission behind this was that the written examination should not only be conducted in one mode, but the candidates should get the opportunity to take the examination through both online and offline mediums. This was considered a part of the effort to curb copying mafias. The current Chairman of the Commission GS Martolia and Secretary SS Rawat have been continuously advocating on this proposal. The proposal of two-tier examination pattern of UKSSSC is under consideration with the government. In this regard, discussions were held in several rounds of meetings of officials with the Commission and preparations are being made to partially change its format. It is expected that the examination can be conducted in the new pattern from the month of April this year.
