Giving information, Superintendent of Police Pramendra Dobal said that on the night of April 29 in Benoli village of Patwari area Talwadi, Man Bahadur (26) son of Nepali origin Giri Bahadur, resident of police station Garkhagot district Jajarkot, Nepal, murdered the uncle of the accused Bhakta Bahadur Giri. had absconded. In this matter, a report was registered on April 30 in Revenue Sub-Inspector Talwari. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the district administration transferred the matter to the regular police on May 7.
Superintendent of Police Pramendra Bal handed over the investigation of the case to Tharali’s in-charge Inspector Devendra Singh Rawat. Under the direction of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Karnprayag, Amit Kumar Saini, the police arrested the accused Bhakta Bahadur Giri (22) s/o Haste Giri, village Ruva Vada, Nepal on May 9 from the road leading to Kurad village, along with surveillance. The accused has been produced in the court and sent to jail in judicial custody.
