Benefits will be given in PM Self Employment Scheme, CM Self Employment Scheme and Nano Scheme under MSME
Dehradun. Transport Minister Chandan Ramdas has said that to reduce vehicular pollution, it is necessary to phase out commercial vehicles with diesel older than 10 years. It is being considered to give relief to those who are being affected by this decision. 25 to 30 percent subsidy will be given under PM Swarojgar Yojana, CM Swarojgar Yojana and Nano Yojana under MSME on purchase of new commercial electric and CNG vehicles.
The Transport Minister inaugurated a seminar on ‘Vehicle borne pollution and the future of transport system in Dehradun’ at the RTO office premises. The minister said that the Supreme Court, the High Court and the NGT have ordered the phasing out of 10-year-old diesel vehicles to prevent vehicular pollution, which is being followed. In the first phase, 10 year old diesel auto-Vikram is being phased out in Doon.
The minister informed that roadways will buy 100 new buses before the Chardham Yatra. Tenders for 200 CNG buses have been done. 60 electric buses are being purchased. For the first time in 23 years, Roadways has recovered from the loss
