Priyanshi had given the exam from dummy school, the matter will be investigated
Haldwani. Priyanshi Rawat, who was the topper in the 10th class examination of Uttarakhand Board, had to appear in the examination from a dummy school. This daughter of the mountain, who broke the record not only of Uttarakhand but also of UP by scoring 100% marks in the board examination, the school in which she studied is not even recognized for class 10th. According to department officials, many dummy schools are running in the state.
The matter will be investigated. Priyanshi Rawat, a student of JBSGIC Gangolihat Pithoragarh, broke all the previous records by securing the highest position in the joint merit list and registered her name among the students who scored the highest marks in the 10th board examination of Uttarakhand. The department officials were initially calling it a government intermediate college, but now they have said that it is a non-government school. This has been described as a dummy school.
According to Ashok Kumar, Chief Education Officer of Pithoragarh, Sadhna Public School is recognized only up to class eight. It is expected that the school will get recognition for class 9th from this year.
There was arrangement for Priyanshi to study in the school, but her registration was from JBSGIC Gangolihat Pithoragarh. It has often been seen that due to lack of recognition, private schools educate children in their own schools, but get them registered in other schools.
Many dummy schools are running in the state, there are such cases in Haridwar district also. This will be investigated. – Mahavir Singh Bisht, Director of Secondary Education
