Had left his MLA for CM Dhami in 2022
Dehradun. Former MLA and Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation Chairman Kailash Gahtodi was suffering from illness for a long time. It is being told that he had returned from America after treatment only three months ago. After that his health worsened further. On this he was admitted to Dehradun hospital. He died during treatment on Friday morning. As soon as the news of his demise was heard, there was a wave of mourning in the area. People are not able to believe this untoward incident.
Kailash Gahtodi became MLA for the first time in 2017 by defeating Congress leader Hemesh Kharkwal by a landslide vote. After that, he also achieved a big victory in the 2022 assembly elections. CM Pushkar Singh had lost the election from Dhami Khatima. On this he resigned from the post of MLA and left Champawat seat for CM Dhami. CM Dhami had won from Champawat seat by a huge margin.
