Uttarakhand Premier League will be organized at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium from June 22

18 T-20 matches will be played between six teams of the state, next year UPL will be on the lines of IPL

Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) is going to organize Uttarakhand Premier League from 22nd June at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. In this, 18 T20 matches will be played between six teams.
The league will be organized on a day-night basis. CAU Secretary Mahim Verma gave this information in a press conference organized by the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand at Abhimanyu Cricket Academy located in Guniyal village of Dehradun on Sunday. Verma said that this is the first professional league after CAU got recognition. UPL is affiliated to BCCI. Six teams are participating in the league. Each team consists of 18 players
The teams are selected by the selection committee of CAU. In this, the players have been selected in such a way that all the teams remain balanced. So that the tinge of excitement remains intact. Viewers will not have to buy tickets to watch the matches in UPL. In IPL, medium pacer Akash Madhwal of Mumbai Indians and Rajan Kumar of Royal Challengers Bangalore will also show their strength in UPL. Apart from these, Aditya Tare, who was in Mumbai Indians, will also be seen.
Aditya Tare is playing as a guest player from CAU. CAU spokesperson Vijay Pratap Malla said that a total of 18 matches will be played in the UPL between six teams. To increase the excitement of cricket, nine matches will be played during the day and nine matches will be played at night. The matches will be played from 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm. Two matches will be played each day in the league, while three matches will be played on June 26. The first match will be played from 9 am. Dehradun Dabang, Tehri Titans, Haridwar Heroes, Nainital Ninjas, Udham Singh Nagar Tiger and Pithoragarh Champs teams will participate in the tournament. CAU T-20 Cricket Chairman Indramohan Barthwal, UPL Director Anuj Bansal, UC Joshi etc were present in the press conference.
CAU Secretary Mahim Verma told that next year Uttarakhand Premier League will be organized on the lines of IPL. The number of teams will also be increased in this. Along with this, the players will also be auctioned. The Hansa Dhanai tournament to be held in the women’s section will also be organized on the lines of UPL. CAU is making every possible effort to promote cricket in the state and to touch new dimensions in the field of cricket.
