Result of 18 candidates of OBC Commission put on hold after deficiencies were found in their certificates.
Dehradun. The youth who were dreaming of becoming Forest Inspector since December 2019, their wish has now been fulfilled by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission. Along with declaring the final results for 292 out of total 316 posts, the Commission has also released the merit list. The results of 18 candidates of the Other Backward Commission have been withheld after deficiencies were found in their certificates.
Decisions will be taken only after the certificates are verified. The merit list includes 185 male and 107 female candidates. In the merit list released by Surendra Singh Rawat, Secretary of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, it has been clarified that this list will be subject to the decision of Nainital High Court in Nidhi Joshi and others vs. State of Uttarakhand and Special Appeal. Because, according to the case pending in the court, 211 posts of Forest Inspector are to be filled through promotion.
This order of the court came just before the completion of the recruitment process. If this happens then only 105 posts for direct recruitment will be left. Apart from this, this recruitment (for the year 2021) has been canceled in December 2022 due to cheating in the examination. On June 11, 2023, re-examination was conducted for 316 posts. However, its results also remained stuck for a long time due to promotion related orders.
Now even though the Commission has released the merit list, it has been kept under the orders of the court. Dayadhar Bhatt topped the merit list of Inspector Recruitment Examination. Dayadhar Bhatt has secured the first position. He has got the maximum marks of 85 marks. At the same time, seven female candidates and three male candidates made it to the top ten of the merit list.
