Train starts from today, will run six days a week and will stop at 7 stations
Dehradun. After Delhi, now the operation of Vande Bharat Express between Dehradun and Lucknow has started from today i.e. Tuesday. After the virtual inauguration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vande Bharat Express left from Dehradun for Lucknow. Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express, which runs six days a week, will complete the journey in eight hours 20 minutes. Whereas other trains take 11 to 12 hours to cover the same distance.
This train will stop at seven stations between Dehradun and Lucknow. However, this train will be launched on Tuesday and the journey on both sides will be free. Railway officials said that the complete schedule of operation of the train will be released after the inauguration.
This will be the first train to travel both ways between Dehradun and Lucknow in the same day. The Government of India has decided to operate Vande Bharat Express to facilitate rail travel between Dehradun and Lucknow. Earlier last year, operations of Vande Bharat Express had started between Dehradun and New Delhi Anand Vihar.
Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express train, which runs six days a week, will operate from Tuesday. This train will depart from Lucknow at 5:15 am and reach Dehradun at 1:35 pm. This train will leave from Dehradun at 2:25 pm and reach Lucknow at 10:40 pm. After leaving Dehradun, this train will stop directly at Haridwar station.
After that it will stop at Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Alamnagar and finally Lucknow station. There was a demand for a long time to run Vande Bharat Express from Dehradun to Lucknow or Purvanchal. The operation of the train will provide considerable relief to the passengers going towards Purvanchal.
