Voting today on all five seats of Uttarakhand, more than 83 lakh people will vote

55 candidates in the fray, voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm

. Today 83,37,914 voters will decide the fate of 55 candidates in the five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand. The Commission has set a target of increasing the voting to 75 percent.
In 2019, there was 61.50 percent voting. After voting on all five seats, counting of votes will take place on June 4. The Election Commission has appealed to the people of the state to vote as much as possible. Chief Electoral Officer Dr. BVRC Purushottam said, voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm. Before the start of voting, there will be a mock poll in the presence of polling agents of all the candidates.
All voters who enter their polling place by 5 pm will be able to vote. Apart from Voter ID, you will also be able to use 12 other documents to cast your vote. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Kumar Jogdande said, by evening 9,500 polling parties had reached their polling places. She will provide information about the commencement of voting.
No ban on marriage functions, hospitals will remain open
Additional Chief Electoral Officer said, the Transport Department will continue to operate the traffic system smoothly. Arrangements will be made to ensure that there is no inconvenience to any common citizen in traffic. There will also be no ban on vehicles used in marriage functions. Instructions have been given to all government hospitals, district hospitals, primary and CHCs to operate 24 hours. The departments related to essential services like drinking water, electricity, disaster management and public works will also continue to operate all the arrangements 24 hours, so that the voters and polling parties do not face any inconvenience.
