When girlfriend made a new boyfriend in Bhimtal, a young man from Lohaghat committed suicide by cutting the vein of his hand.

The young man studied in a renowned college, the secret of his death was revealed by the suicide note found by the police.

The body of a student living in a PG located in Mehragaon, Bhimtal, was found hanging inside the bathroom under suspicious circumstances at 4 am on Friday. The friends of the deceased informed the police through 112 about the death of the student. Police reached the spot after collecting information and took the student to Bhimtal CHC in an unconscious state. Where the doctor declared the student dead.
Police Station Head Jagdeep Negi told that Manas Joshi (23), son of Prakash Joshi, resident of Chandmari Lohaghat, lived in Neela Singh’s PG in Mehragaon. Manas had come to give his B.Sc final year paper in a reputed private college located on Sattal Road. Manas was cutting the vein of his left hand by making a video call to his friend Himanshu Joshi on WhatsApp. When Himanshu reached Manas’s room after some time, the room was not locked from inside. But Manas was lying down hanging from the exhaust fan of the bathroom. Friends called 108 but there was no response. On which he informed the police through 112.
The police station incharge said that a suicide note has been found from the spot in which the deceased has expressed his displeasure over his girlfriend making a new boyfriend. The police station chief said that the family members have been informed. Preparations are being made to send the body to Nainital for post-mortem. He said that information is being collected about the girl.
