Incident in Dehradun’s Fateu village, accused husband arrested
Dehradun. In Fateu village of Sahiya, the husband killed his wife by hitting her with a gandasa on her neck. The tehsil administration arrested the accused with the help of the villagers. According to the Tehsildar, prima facie the matter of killing the wife in a fit of rage is coming to the fore.
According to the information, Gajendra Singh Chauhan, a resident of Fateu village of Samalta, revenue area under Tehsil area Kalsi, was present at home along with his wife Guddi Devi (35) and two and a half year old daughter. Both were married about four years ago. It is being told that in the meantime, there was an argument between the husband and wife over some issue. On which Gajendra Singh went out of the house. Guddi Devi slept with the daughter. After some time, Gajendra Singh returned with Gandasa and suddenly hit his wife on the neck, due to which the wife died on the spot.
After committing the crime, the accused husband fled towards the forest. Hearing the cry of the daughter, the people around reached the spot, where Guddi Devi’s body was lying on the bed soaked in blood.
On the information of the villagers, Tehsildar Kalsi Sushila Kothiyal, Revenue Inspector Rajendra Lal, Revenue Sub-Inspector Motilal Jinata, Pyare Ram Sharma, Jagat Ram Sharma, Meenakshi, Bhopal Das reached the spot. With the help of the villagers, the accused was taken into custody. Tehsildar told that along with the dead body, Gandasa has been seized from the spot.
When there was a quarrel with his wife, Gandasa killed him by hitting him in the neck.
