Gularia railway crossing incident in Village Tedhaghat of Khatima
Khatima. The woman died after being hit by a train. The deceased woman could not be identified. Police have seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
On Wednesday, a woman died after being hit by a train at the railway crossing leading to Gularia in village Tedhaghat of Khatima. It is being told that the woman was mentally depressed. Railway Gate In-charge Jogendra Kumar said that at 3.30 pm, Triveni Express train number 15073 was coming from Pilibhit towards Khatima. The woman was walking on the tracks about 100 meters away from railway crossing number 24C. The woman could not hear the sound of the train and the screams of passersby passing by and she was hit by the train.
The woman died on the spot. On receiving information about the incident, Sathameel police outpost in-charge Sandeep Pilkhwal and grf team reached the spot. Efforts were made to identify the body from the nearby people. But the woman could not be identified. Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination. The body has been kept in the mortuary and efforts are on to identify it, post in-charge Pilkhwal said.
