World famous Devidhura Bagwal fair begins, Holi of flowers and fruits will be played on August 31

On the first day, Sangi Puja was done according to law, crowd would gather to see Bagwal on Raksha Bandhan

Champawat. The colorful beginning of the famous Bagwal fair began in Devidhura. Girls and women took out an attractive Kalash Yatra. During this, many religious rituals took place. Bagwal will be the main attraction of the fair on August 31.
The historical Bagwal fair of Devidhura started. District Panchayat President Jyoti Rai inaugurated the fair by cutting the ribbon at the intersection of the main station. He described the Bagwal fair as helpful in the promotion and dissemination of culture. Party’s block chief Sumanlata said that no stone would be left unturned to develop the fair. Temple Committee President Mohan Singh Bisht welcomed everyone. Said that every facility of the devotees coming to the fair will be taken care of. Dancers of the Chholiya team led by Bhimram from Keenigarh in Pithoragarh gave a spectacular performance.
Girls and women in traditional attire took out the Kalash Yatra from the main station to the temple premises. The students of Devidhura College welcomed the guests by reciting mantras. Artists of Jai Bhumsen Tharu Utthan Samiti Banbasa presented programs. During this, Chalisa based on Maa Varahi, composed by Vijay Mehta, was released. Later, the Zip President inspected the stall. Sangi Puja was organized on the first day of the fair. Religious rituals were performed on Sunday morning under the priesthood of Pithacharya Kirtiballabh Joshi.

● August 29 – Religious rituals, multipurpose camp, Kavi Sammelan
● August 30- Eye and blood donation camp by Roti Club Haldwani
● August 31- Virat Puja, Main Bagwal, Ratri Jagran
