World famous Valley of Flowers will open for tourists from today

World famous Valley of Flowers will be opened for tourists from Saturday. Tourists will start being sent to the valley at 8 am. Valley of Flowers is opened for tourists every year on June 1. All preparations have been completed by Nanda Devi National Park to send tourists to the valley. DFO of Nanda Devi National Park BB Martolia has also reached Ghangaria, the main stop of the journey. There is a three km track from here to Valley of Flowers. DFO said, the track going to the valley has been improved.
Many species of flowers have also started blooming in the valley. The first group of tourists will be sent from Ghangaria from 8 am on Saturday. Last year 13,161 tourists had reached the valley. In view of the Chardham Yatra this year, the park administration hopes that tourists will reach here in large numbers.
Valley of Flowers is located in the high Himalayan region. There is no provision for overnight stay here. Tourists have to return to Ghangaria on the same day. Tourists are sent to the valley from Ghangaria from 7 am to 12 noon. They have to return by 5 pm. The fee has been fixed at Rs 200 per person for Indian residents and Rs 800 per person for foreign tourists.
