Haldwani. Two people of the same family died on the spot when an Alto car fell into a ditch near Jabal on the Raigi-Shedia-Chumra road in Vikasnagar tehsil area of Dehradun district. Three other people in the car were injured. While the car rammed into the back of a truck parked in Haldwani Kaladhungi and one person in the car died while 2 people were injured.
According to the information, five people of the same family, residents of Chumra village, connected to Deoghar Khat, the frontier of Dehradun district, were going to Tyuni market in an Alto car. On the Raigi-Shedia-Chumra road, a little ahead of Raigi, near Jabal, the car lost control and fell into a ditch. Car rider Chandan Singh and Bunty resident Chhumra died on the spot. Three people including Hrithik s/o Diwan Singh, Naksh s/o Chandan Singh and Diwan Singh were injured. Naib Tehsildar Keshavdutt Joshi and Police Station President Ashish Raviyan said that after the post-mortem action of a teenager and youth killed in a car accident, the dead bodies were handed over to the relatives.
On the other hand, an uncontrolled car entered behind a truck loaded with wood at Nayagaon Tirahe last night in Kaladhungi police station area of Nainital district. Truck UK04CB3334 was standing on the road to get royalty check, where Honda City car UP 14CD 0888 coming from Kaladhungi rammed into the truck. The collision was so severe that the airbags of the car burst open. There were 3 people in the car. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and pulled out the 3 people present in the vehicle in barely injured condition. Police immediately took the injured to Kaladhungi Hospital with the help of an ambulance, where one seriously injured person was declared brought dead by the doctors. Two injured have been referred to Haldwani Sushila Tiwari Hospital. Car riders are being told from Kashipur
