In Kichha, Pulbhatta police raided the warehouse in Sirauli Kalan.
Kiccha. Pulbhatta police raided Sirauli Kalan and seized a consignment of ghee made from animal fat from a warehouse. 205 canisters of ghee have been recovered from the spot and four accused have been arrested. The accused used to supply ghee to shops and renowned factories during the festival season. The police have estimated the value of the recovered fat at Rs 2 lakh 5 thousand. A case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been started.
Disclosing the incident at Pulbhatta police station on Wednesday, SSP Manjunath TC said that the police received information that Iqbal Sabri, resident of Sirauli Kalan, has formed a gang and is slaughtering animals in Kichha and village Daru area for the festival season and making ghee from their fat. He is selling it at a higher price in nearby shops and some factories. After receiving the information, Pulbhatta police raided a warehouse in Char Bigha Sirauli Kalan Ward 18 on Tuesday evening. During the raid, four persons were taking out canisters from the warehouse and loading them into a pickup vehicle. The police raided and arrested all four accused. The accused have given their names as Iqbal Sabri son of Hasmatullah Qureshi resident of Ward 12 Kichha, Naeem Qureshi son of Talib Hussain resident of Ward 15 Kichha, Yasin Malik son of Hanif and Mohd. Alam son Ashfakh Hussain resident of Pipalsana police station Bhojpur district Moradabad. Police recovered two hundred canisters of fatty ghee from the pickup vehicle and five canisters from the warehouse. The fatty ghee was recovered and the vehicle was seized. Police have registered a case against the accused. Food inspector Asha Arya and veterinary doctor Dr. Mrigesh Chaudhary reached the spot. They have taken samples of the recovered ghee and preserved it to send to the lab.
