Admission on 540 seats in DBS PG College, Vice Chancellor instructed to make roster of vacant seats.

Admissions will be done from today on the basis of merit on 3,904 seats of graduates vacant after admission through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) in DAV, DBS, MKP and Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College, aided private colleges affiliated to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Central Garhwal University. .
In these four colleges of Doon, only those students are being given admission, who did not give the CUET exam, but had applied online for admission in these four colleges. Now on the basis of those applications, all four colleges have released the first merit list. Students whose names have been included in the merit list of BA, B.Sc and B.Com first year. They will appear before the admission committee and after scrutiny of documents can take admission by paying the fee.
Vice Chancellor of HNB Garhwal Central University, Prof. Annapurna Nautiyal had given instructions that after the roster, the number of seats remaining vacant after admission in CUET-UG and PG in each subject should be assessed. On this, the four colleges of Doon have prepared the matrix of seats left vacant after admission through CUET and have prepared the list of those seeking admission on the basis of merit. The first merit admissions will take place till Wednesday evening.
On the other hand, Principal of DAV PG College, Dr. KR Jain said that after admission from CUET, it was decided to give admission to the remaining seats on the basis of merit. The admission process for graduation first semester BA, BSc, BCom will start on the basis of merit from Tuesday. Convenor of the admission committee, Prof. Ramesh Kumar Sharma said that committees have been formed for the admission process.
On the other hand, Principal of DBS PG College, Dr. VC Pandey said that admission is being given on 540 seats on merit basis. For admission on merit basis in the college, 280 applications have been received in BA first year and 195 applications have been received in BSC first year. On the other hand, Principal of MKP PG College, Dr. Sarita Kumar said that only 80 admissions were made in the college under CUET, but now 330 applications have been received for admission on merit basis in BA, 58 in B.Sc and 55 in B.Com. The first merit for admission was released on Monday. First merit admissions will be given on Tuesday.
Admission is available on 6,040 seats in 9 colleges. There are 11,588 seats for graduates in the Srinagar campus of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University and 8 other affiliated colleges. Out of which till Monday, admissions were done on only 5,548 seats and admissions are being taken on merit basis on 6,040 vacant seats. Among these vacant seats, there are 3,904 vacant seats in four colleges of Doon.
