4-month pregnant woman gives birth to baby in Kashipur

Kashipur. A pregnant woman in Kashipur has set a new record by giving birth to a newborn baby in 21 weeks 5 days (about 4 months). The woman has so far set a record of giving birth in the shortest period in the country. Whereas in normal condition, the baby is born after being in the womb for 9 months. The newborn has been kept in intensive care at a private hospital in Kashipur.
The woman from Swar in Rampur district of neighbouring Uttar Pradesh was admitted to Sahota Specialty Hospital in Kashipur. The woman had a delivery pen. When the doctors saw his report and ultrasound, they lost consciousness. The woman was 4 months pregnant, while the baby in the womb was like a normal baby. The woman was delivered to the hospital.
Doctors claim that the woman has set a new record by giving birth to an infant in the shortest period. However, keeping the child alive is a big challenge for the doctors.
According to doctors, the shortest born baby so far is Arjun. Arjun was born in Hyderabad after being 24 weeks pregnant with his mother.
The baby born in Kashipur weighs 400 grams and is 27 centimeters in length. The baby has also had respiratory problems 8 times so far. At present, this child will have to be kept in a high level NICU for 90 to 95 days to save him. According to pediatrician Dr Ravi Sahota, the chances of survival of babies born in a short period are less than 10 percent in India and 6 to 7 percent in London, New York, Melbourne etc. He told that all the organs like kidney, lungs, heart etc. of this newborn are immature. He is also at risk of infection with a virus called Clapziala.
