Muzaffarnagar. Police and SOG team killed 50 thousand reward Rashid, who killed 3 including cricketer Suresh Raina’s uncle, in an encounter on Saturday. BS Verma, in-charge of Shahpur police station, also got bullet injuries in the encounter. Rashid was wanted by the police for three years.
SSP Sanjeev Suman has been quoted as saying that the encounter took place on Soram Goyla Marg. Information was received from the informer that some miscreants are about to execute a major incident in Shahpur area. Police and SOG team conducted checking operation. Seeing two suspicious people approaching, the police signaled them to stop. On this he got agitated and started firing at the police. Inspector in-charge of Shahpur police station was injured in the attack. The police also retaliated. In which Rashid got injured. While his accomplice escaped seeing the opportunity. The police brought Rashid to the hospital. But by now he had died. The doctors declared him dead.

The five accused had entered the house from the terrace on the night of the incident. They saw three people sleeping on mats and attacked them.
