4 feet key made to open 10 feet high and 4.5 feet wide lock
Ayodhya. Preparations for the construction of Shri Ram temple are going on in full swing. At the same time, Satya Prakash Sharma, an artisan from Aligarh, has made a 400 kg lock for this temple. The lock is 10 feet high, 4.5 feet wide, and 9.5 inches thick. Its key is 4 feet. Sharma is engaged in making minor modifications and beautification of this lock. He has been manufacturing this lock for 45 years. Along with Sharma, his wife Rukmini Devi has also contributed significantly in this work. He said that my wife helped me a lot in this difficult enterprise.
“Earlier we made a lock six feet long and three feet wide, but some people suggested a bigger lock, so we started working on it,” Rukmani said. He informed that the locks are being finalized. According to Sharma, the construction of the lock cost him around Rs two lakh and he willingly put in his life savings to make his dream project a reality.
