What is an APK file?

How is the fraud happening?
Cyber criminals send APK files in the form of wedding cards on WhatsApp. When a person clicks on this file, his mobile gets hacked. After being hacked, the fraudsters can withdraw money from your bank account or steal your other confidential information.
How to avoid it?
- Do not click on APK files from unknown numbers: If you receive a wedding card in the form of an APK file from an unknown number, delete it immediately.
- Do not click on any unknown link coming on WhatsApp: Think twice before clicking on any link coming on WhatsApp.
- Keep anti-virus, spam defaulter and anti-spyware in your phone: With the help of these apps, you can keep your phone safe.
