Chardham Yatra registration to open from February 20

Passengers will be able to travel offline and online

The slot for Char Dham Yatra registration will be opened from February 20 this year. By March 31, all preparations will be completed by the yatra administration. Commissioner Garhwal Division Sushil Kumar held a meeting on Tuesday regarding the travel preparations. He said that both online and offline registration facility will be available for the journey.
Commissioner Garhwal said in a meeting held at the Municipal Corporation auditorium that all the arrangements regarding registration will be made public on February 20. The system will be widely publicized in all the states of the country. Apart from online registration, devotees will also get the facility of offline photo matric registration in Rishikesh and Haridwar. Commissioner Garhwal Division Sushil Kumar said that badri-Kedar temple committee should make transparent arrangements at dhams. A large number of devotees will reach the dhams in the months of May and June. Therefore, efforts will be made to organize the katha and discourse on the dhams in the off-season. He said that the common devotee should not face any problem due to VIP.
Divisional Transport Officer Sunil Kumar said that about 1600 buses of all companies are available. The list of which has been made available to the Transport Department. On February 14, companies associated with joint rotation will meet and take a final decision on the fare hike. 40 percent of the bus travel and 60 percent of the buses will operate on the local route. Before the Chardham Yatra, the Transport Corporation management will take contract permits from the Uttarakhand State Transport Authority for 394 buses running on the mountainous routes of the state.
