Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. This was the Chief Minister’s first meeting with the Prime Minister after completing one year of his second termThe Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the Government of India’s extensive support for various externally aided projects and special assistance schemes for capital projects, including the approval of the Jamrani Dam project for the development of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the recommendation was given in the meeting of the Public Investment Board organized by the Finance Ministry for the Jamrani Dam Multipurpose Project. The Chief Minister also urged the Prime Minister to get the financial approval of the Jamrani Dam Multipurpose Project from the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. The Chief Minister invited the Prime Minister for Chardham Yatra, Adi Kailash and Mayawati Ashram at Lohaghat. Informing the Prime Minister about the relief and displacement works of the landslide affected people in Joshimath area of ​​Chamoli, the Chief Minister said that an economic package of Rs 2942.99 crore is required for landslides and landslides. In the above package, construction of 150 pre-fabricated houses, site development work, affected allowance are important for temporary relief and housing arrangements for the affected.
Compensation for residential and commercial infrastructure, compensation for lands of families falling in unsafe zone, permanent rehabilitation of affected persons and acquisition and development of land and repair and restoration of affected departmental infrastructure are included. The work of stabilization and redevelopment of Joshimath is also to be done.
The Uttarakhand Landslide Mitigation and Management Center has been set up by the state government, which will advise on landslide improvement and management at the national level as a center of excellence. The center has started functioning in Joshimath, through it a roadmap has been prepared for the landslide affected, disaster affected risk areas.
The Chief Minister also urged for starting the Vande Bharat train service from Haridwar to Varanasi, saying that this would provide great convenience to the pilgrims and tourists. The Chief Minister said that under the National Livestock Mission, 240 Marino sheep were imported from Australia in December, 2019. Based on its success, it is proposed to import 500 Merino sheep in the first phase, which can yield about 500 metric tonnes of high quality wool in the next 3-4 months. For this cooperation is required from the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Ministry of Textiles.
The Chief Minister informed that Rs 280 crore has been approved by NABARD for setting up 18 thousand polyhouses in the state, which will provide employment to about 1 lakh people. To encourage maximum apple production in the state, a scheme of Rs 35 crore has been approved under the Apple Mission. High value crops like- Kiwi Dragon Fruit, Strawberry etc. are being promoted by the State Government.
The Chief Minister said that for the overall development of beekeeping in the state, a proposal of Rs 249.529 crore has been sent to the Central Government as per the guidelines of the National Beekeeping and Honey Mission Scheme, in which a total grant of Rs 203.391 crore is expected from the Central Government.
Requesting the Prime Minister to approve the proposal, the Chief Minister said that about 45,000 cattle herders would get direct benefit from the said proposal, while all the horticulturists and farmers of the state would get indirect benefit through increase in production. A 280-bed satellite center of Rishikesh AIIMS has been approved for Udham Singh Nagar (Kumaon division). CPWD is the executive body. Quick pace in work is expected.
The Chief Minister requested the Prime Minister to direct the concerned to operate air services at Naini Saini Airport in Pithoragarh and transfer the airport to the Indian Air Force (Ministry of Defence) in view of the expansion of the airport.
The Chief Minister requested to consider giving permission till March 2024 to complete all the remaining 473 works of PMGSY-1 and 2 in the state. Under PMGSY, 407 habitations with a population of 150 to 249 are left in the state, in which construction of 3200 km long roads is proposed, and the estimated cost is Rs 2900 crore. It is requested to grant permission for the approval of these settlements.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, the target of allotment of houses for the remaining 25,423 beneficiaries in Uttarakhand is necessary to be achieved in the month of April, 2023, so that they can be completed by the month of December, 2023. With this, the target of saturating all the eligible beneficiaries with the housing scheme by the year 2024 will be fulfilled.
Giving information about the new tourism policy of the state, the Chief Minister said that like the Kashi Vishwanath and Ujjain Mahakal corridors, work is being done on the Har ki Paidi Haridwar and Rishikesh corridors. The Musapani site located at a distance of 5 km from Mana village in Chamoli district has been identified for development on the lines of Nadavate (Gujarat)
