Colonel posted in IMA himself is also married and father of two children
Dehradun. Court martial action has been taken against a lieutenant colonel who was posted at the Indian Military Academy (IMA). The Lt Col was accused of having an affair with a civilian female clerk and donating sperm for her IVF treatment. The woman’s husband is a sergeant in the army.
During the court martial process, the Lt Col has accepted all the charges against him. After which his original rank, enhanced pay and three years seniority of the rank have been withdrawn as punishment. According to the information received, the said officer is from the Education Corps of the Army and was posted in the Academic Branch of the IMA at the time of the incident. During this, he had a relationship with a female clerk working in IMA. The woman’s husband is a Havildar in the Corps of Engineers.
At the same time, the lieutenant colonel himself is married and has two children. Investigation has revealed that even during the IVF treatment of the woman, he visited her several times and donated sperm. The matter came to light when the officer was posted outside IMA and his contact with the woman was completely cut off. On which the woman lodged a complaint with the police and also informed the military officials about the entire matter. The court martial proceedings against the officer began on April 11 this year
