Dehradun. A woman admitted in the labor room of Gynae wing of Doon Hospital got delivered outside the lift. The negligence of the system has come to the fore when the woman who came for delivery was allowed to go out for tea at the last moment. On the instructions of Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana, answers are being sought from the concerned doctors and employees.
A 33-year-old woman from a locality in Doon was going in the lift to drink tea. He was hurriedly brought back to the ward. Doctors and staff completed other procedures. DMS Dr. Dhananjay Doval told that the woman was admitted on Saturday morning itself. The lady had gone out to drink tea, the delivery was done outside the lift. Mother and child both are healthy. In such a situation, an answer has been sought on why he was allowed to leave the ward. Arrangements are being made for arrangement of tea etc. The relatives of the woman have also expressed regret that they should not have been taken from the ward.
Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana has taken strict action in the case of delivery outside the lift in the Gynae wing and admission of two pregnant women on one bed. This matter has reached the government and administration. MS Dr. Anurag Aggarwal, DMS Dr. Dhananjay Doval and Gyani HOD Dr. Chitra Joshi has been asked to complete the survey on Sunday and report the improvement in the system. Cases of normal delivery should be done in other hospitals including district hospital, so that there is no crowd here
