Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to provide relief amount of Rs five lakh each to the dependents of the deceased and Rs one lakh each to the injured without any delay in the Chamoli incident.
Giving information about the situation, the Chief Minister said that orders for a magisterial inquiry have been given. The injured have been brought from AIIMS, Rishikesh by helicopter. The Prime Minister’s Office has also been given complete information about the incident. A painful accident took place in Chamoli, Uttarakhand on Wednesday. 16 people have died due to electrocution at the sewer treatment plant of Namami Gange on the banks of Alaknanda river. At the same time, many have got scorched due to its grip. Chamoli’s inspector is also included in the injured. At present, the injured were airlifted to AIIMS.
