First death due to dengue in Nainital district, woman from Kathgodam died during treatment.

Haldwani. A 36-year-old woman, resident of Kathgodam Railway Colony, died of dengue on Tuesday evening. The woman was undergoing treatment in a private hospital located on Nainital Road since Monday. There is panic in the health department after the first case of death due to dengue was reported in Nainital district.
Nainital CMO Dr. Bhagirathi Joshi said that a 36-year-old woman, resident of Railway Colony, Kathgodam, was admitted to a private hospital on Nainital Road by her family members on Monday evening due to her ill health. The woman was complaining of fever for about a week. When the woman’s blood sample was taken and card tested in a private hospital, symptoms of dengue were found. After this the sample was sent to the lab for ELISA test. According to the CMO, the woman died during treatment on Tuesday. He told that the woman’s ELISA report has also come positive.
