Haldwani violence: Action will be taken against miscreants under National Security Act (NSA)

Action will be taken against the miscreants in Haldwani under the National Security Act (NSA). Director General of Police (DGP) Abhinav Kumar said this after taking stock of the situation in Haldwani on Friday. DGP said that the miscreants will be identified within the next 48 hours. Even more strict action will be taken against them along with NSA.
DGP Abhinav Kumar said that right now the priority of the police administration is to restore the disrupted internet and other services in Haldwani. Efforts are on to normalize life. Along with this, police teams are deployed to arrest the accused as soon as possible. Help from intelligence agencies is also being provided. The miscreants are being identified. He said that the situation in Haldwani is completely under control and efforts are being made to take action against the accused as soon as possible.
Due to the uproar in Haldwani, there is a stir in the industrial sector of Dehradun. Some industrial units have currently stopped the supply from Dehradun to Haldwani. At the same time, the supply coming from Haldwani to Doon has also been affected. Curfew has been imposed in some areas after the uproar in Vanbhulpura of Haldwani on Thursday. Due to this, transport service has also been affected.
Anil Marwah, state coordinator of Food Industries Association of Uttarakhand, said that goods are supplied from here across the state. This includes toast, snacks, chips and other household items. He said that in view of security, orders from Haldwani have been stopped for the time being. The supply will be restored once the situation becomes normal.
