Haldwani. Abdul Malik, the mastermind of the violence in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, has been arrested in Delhi. Abdul Malik was said to be absconding for the last few days, after which he has been arrested from Delhi.
According to the information, his lawyer has filed an anticipatory bail petition saying that he has come to know that his client has been arrested in Delhi. Violence broke out in Haldwani over the demolition of an illegally built madrassa in Banbhulpura area of Haldwani. Local residents protested against this move, which later turned into violence.
