Originally a resident of Bageshwar, Puran Chandra Pant has been living in Haldwani since the year 2020. He told that the daughter is a devotee of Lord Krishna since childhood. When she was eight years old, she saw Kanha in her dream and shared this with her mother Meenakshi Pant. Since then, she was attracted towards Murli Manohar. When she turned 10, she started observing Karva Chauth fast for Kanha and since then she observes fast every year.
Amidst her attraction towards the Lord, Harshika talked about marrying Kanha. Seeing the daughter’s desire and devotion, the family also agreed. Puran Pant told that when the priest was asked about the rituals, he informed that the marriage ceremony would be held in Vrindavan. Although it was not possible to go there and hold the ceremony, the relatives went to Prem Mandir Vrindavan on July 1. There, a card was given in the name of the Lord and after completing the process, they reached Haldwani on July 3 with the idol of Shri Krishna.
Cards have also been printed to invite people to the wedding. On Wednesday, according to the auspicious time, the idol of the Lord was consecrated at home and other programs related to the marriage ritual were performed. Along with this, a program of Mahila Sangeet was organized with great pomp. Local people also participated in it with enthusiasm. Harshika’s father Puran Chandra Pant told that he had a heart attack in the year 2020 and his body became paralyzed. In such a situation, he remained unconscious for 10 to 15 days. After that, when she regained consciousness, her daughter said that her Kanha Ji had cured her. After this, her devotion towards God increased even more. She told that her treatment is still going on.
