7 seater helicopter will make two trips daily, flight will be from Gaulapar
Haldwani. To promote tourism, the state government will start remote Munsiyari, Pithoragarh and Champawat heli service. The trial was conducted from the helipad located at Gaulapar. Sub-Collector Paritosh Verma said that the trial was conducted by the team of Heritage Aviation and UCADA. Approval for the flight will be given by the DGCA team after the final trials. Said that the 7 seater helicopter will provide its services twice daily. He said that per person fare has been proposed at Rs 2500 for Champawat, Rs 3000 for Pithoragarh and Rs 3500 per person for Munsiyari. He told that the fare subsidy is being given by the Government of India. He said that the general public of tourism and emergency services will get the benefit of helicopter service. On this occasion, officials of Heritage Aviation and UCADA team as well as Tehsildar Sachin Kumar etc. were present.
