Hurt by not being able to appear in the examination in Haridwar, a 12th class student hanged himself from a tree.

The student was stopped from appearing in the examination for reaching the examination center late.

An Inter student from Muzaffarnagar hanged himself after he was not allowed to sit for the paper due to reaching the examination center late. His body was found hanging from a tree in a mango orchard in the forest outside Haddipur village of Kaliar police station area. The body has been sent for the post mortem The police is investigating the case
Kaliar police station in-charge Dilbar Singh Negi said that the examinations of Uttarakhand School Education Council have started from Tuesday. It was told that on Tuesday, Gurmeet (18), resident of village Nyamu police station Charthawal, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, had reached Inter College (examination center) of Haddipur village on a bike to give the Hindi paper of Intermediate.
Told that due to some reason he reached the examination center late, he was not allowed to appear in the examination. After this the student left from there. The relatives became worried when Gurmeet did not reach home till late night. Due to this, his relatives came to Kaliyar area in the night itself and informed the police about the matter.
When we went to the examination center on Wednesday in search of him, we found out that he had not appeared in Tuesday’s examination. During his search on Wednesday afternoon, the police found Gurmeet’s body hanging from a tree in a mango orchard outside the village. The police station incharge told that perhaps the student was sad because of missing the paper, due to which he probably committed suicide. The matter is being investigated.
