Impressed by Indian culture, two Russian couples got married according to Hindu rituals

Haridwar. Foreigners’ love for Indian culture was seen. Here two Russian couples got married according to Hindu rituals. This marriage took place at Akhand Param Dham Ashram, where the couples got married according to Indian rituals. Which included Vedic chanting and taking seven rounds around the holy fire.
A guest told news agency PTI that the couple, who have been married for 20 years and parents of three children, decided to marry again according to Hindu rituals. He said, ‘They have already tested their relationship and they are confident that they will stay together for life. Their love for Indian culture inspired them to do so.
The wedding ceremony was conducted by the priest of the ashram, who shared information about the growing international interest in Indian culture. He told, ‘Every year we organize meditation camps here, in which people from all over the world come.  Many people come for spiritual guidance and to receive mantras and blessings from Gurudev Bhagwan.
He said, ‘These two couples decided to get married according to Indian customs, so we conducted their weddings following Vedic traditions.’ The couples were dressed in traditional Indian attire, the brides had mehndi on their hands. Friends and family members joined the celebration, singing and dancing. They wore floral garlands, creating a festive Indian wedding atmosphere.
Guests who attended the wedding spoke about how impressed the Russian couple were with Indian culture. A guest said, ‘The couple wanted a bond that would last not just for one life but for seven lives, because they had heard that Indian weddings symbolize an unbreakable bond. That is why they decided to get married according to Hindu rituals. This is not the first instance of Russians adopting Indian culture. In October 2023, three Russian couples got married in traditional Hindu rituals at the Akhand Paramdham Ashram in Haridwar.  The couple, part of a 50-member Russian pilgrim group, were impressed by Indian culture and decided to get married as per Hindu rituals.
