Haridwar. Due to the greed of eight bighas of land in Chhapur village of Bhagwanpur, the young man and his relatives refused to marry. There was an uproar regarding this for several hours. During this, there was a scuffle between both the sides. Later the police calmed down the matter.
At the same time, the girl’s side is also adamant on not marrying. People of the community are trying to resolve the matter. Late at night, as per the agreement, the boy’s side returned the dowry given to the girl’s side and returned with the wedding procession.
A villager resident of Chhapur village of Bhagwanpur police station area had nurtured his younger brother’s daughter. He fixed the girl’s relationship with a young man resident of a village in Mangalore area. Meanwhile the villager died. The villager had eight bighas of land in his name. On Thursday, youth from Mangalore area came to Chhapur village with a wedding procession. While writing the marriage certificate, the girl’s side got the real father’s name written instead of the foster father’s. Which the youth side opposed.
The youth’s side said that the name of the father who raised the girl should be written. So that his eight bighas of land can come in his daughter’s name. The girl’s side opposed this. On which the young party refused to marry. There was a huge uproar regarding this. Bhagwanpur police station tried to calm the matter. Meanwhile, the girl’s side also refused to marry. The dispute continued till late evening.
In Haridwar, there was a fight between the bride and groom in the wedding procession over 8 bighas of land, the wedding procession returned without the bride.
