Along with Doon, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar are also included in the top three. This layoff was done after completing physical verification and other processes for a year.
The main reasons for this are the death of the voter, shifting to another place and inclusion of names in two different lists. At the same time, complete information about the people removed from the voter list has also been given to the political parties. So that no questions can be raised on the process. The State Election Commission is moving ahead rapidly with the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
During the survey, along with adding new voters, it was also seen what was the status of the names registered in the previous elections. After the verification process which took place between November 9, 2022 and September 21, 2023, 177609 names were removed from the voter list of 13 districts. Information about the person’s name, assembly constituency, voter ID number, booth location etc. has also been recorded on the website.
