Accused lover refused to marry after becoming a doctor, girl admitted to Doon hospital

Dehradun. In Mungra village of Naugaon, Uttarkashi, a girl who was protesting for marriage for six months was attacked by her lover and family members. He has been admitted to Doon Hospital.
The girl has been admitted to Doon Hospital under the supervision of Neuro Surgeon Dr. DP Tiwari. The girl is complaining of pain in her head due to helmet, wiper and bucket etc. There are marks of injuries all over the body including hands and legs. Doctors of ortho, medicine, gynecology and surgery are also being shown.
In the hospital, the girl’s brother and other family members told that in the year 2020, the sister got acquainted with private dentist Dr. Ravi Parmar. He kept giving promises of marriage. The doctor refused to marry the MA B.Ed pass girl after she missed two marks in the LT exam in 2021. When complained to police, DGP and Women Commission, they talked about marriage in March.
Alleged that applied for court marriage in March 2023, but it was withdrawn. The brother said that she was continuously harassed and a dowry of Rs 50 lakh was demanded. She stood firm in the village demanding marriage, but the accused injured her. The girl is also from a village in Barkot. Deputy MS of the hospital, Dr. Dhananjay Doval said that whatever problems the girl has mentioned, the doctors of the concerned department are looking into them. After getting the tests done, specialist doctors are providing treatment.
Brother made serious allegations against Purola police station incharge and two sub-inspectors of the post. Said that the accused family was given protection. Police security was withdrawn. Said that all of them should be removed from there. The Women’s Commission team reached Doon Hospital and inquired about the health of the girl. Commission Chairman Kusum Kandwal said that talks have been held with the SSP for strict action in this matter.
