Holiday declared from 10th July to 17th July for class 1st to 12th
Haridwar. District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal has declared holiday for eight days in view of Kanwar fair in all government non-government schools of Haridwar. A large number of kanwariyas are expected to reach Haridwar in the Kanwar fair. In view of this, Haridwar District Magistrate has issued holiday orders in all schools from July 10 to July 17.
The District Magistrate said that from July 10 to July 17, all government, non-government and Anganwadi centers in the district from classes one to 12 will remain closed. Due to the increasing crowd of kanwariyas in the Kanwar fair, the road will be closed. When the Kanwar fair will be in peak period, a holiday has been declared in the public interest to maintain peace and order in the city and keeping in mind the safety of the students. During this period all schools will remain closed for educational purposes. Legal action will be taken against the manager or head of the institution who do not obey the order.It is known that the Kanwar fair is coming to an end on July 14, while Somvati Amavasya bath is on July 17, in which lakhs of people are expected to gather, every year Somvati Amavasya is already a holiday in Haridwar. The 16th being a Sunday, it is already a holiday. For this reason, eight days holiday has been given this time
